Steering cables are quick connect steering cables with stainless steel ends which enable the cable to be attached directly to the tilt tube on all popular brands of Outboard engines.

These M66 cables are compatible with most Teleflex and Multiflex suitable for Type B Helms and cables and other brands.

When replacing your existing boat steering cable, you can usually find a part number and / or length stamped on the outer jacket. If it is not legible, it will be necessary to make careful examination of your system to determine what type of cable you need and then to actually measure the length required for proper cable replacement or selection and installation.

Follow the quick method for measuring all boat steering cables to determine the correct length. Simply measure the length of B or the insulation area of the cable, generally speaking this will be the black, blue or red protective cover or cable jacket. Once this is determined add 30 inches and then divide by 12. Your answer will be X. Whatever the number before the decimal is the whole foot conversion. take that number and round up to the next whole foot. This will work with rack or rotary steering cables.

For Example if "B" measurement is 152" inches + 30" inches = Total 182" Then divide total by 12 = Total is 15.2 then round up to the next whole foot, cable to
